INDIAN  HERPETOLOGICAL  SOCIETY

Indian Herpetological Society (IHS) has been instrumental in creating awareness about snakes and other urban wildlife since 1986. In 1989, IHS was recognized by the Species Survival Commission (SSC) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and is also active on the Declining Amphibian Task Force. IHS has actively contributed towards the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, their scientific management and rehabilitation from 1988 to 2023. IHS  manages the Snake Park C/o Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park & Wildlife Research Centre and conducts various educational programs through Uttara School of Environment.
